Privacy and data handling.
This policy describes the public website and School Master ERP at a high level. It is an operational policy draft and should be legally reviewed as commercial onboarding expands.
1. Information handled
School Master may process school account/profile information, user account information and school operational records that authorized users enter or import into the ERP. Public support communications may include the information a user chooses to send to support.
2. School operational data
Operational school records are intended to remain within the relevant school workspace and are processed to provide the ERP service. Schools are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate legal basis/authority for personal data they upload or enter.
3. Cookies and advertising
The public website contains Google AdSense code. Google and other authorized advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers for ad serving, measurement and related purposes. Where legally required, appropriate consent mechanisms should be used. Users can manage Google advertising preferences through Google Ads Settings.
4. Service providers
School Master may use hosting, database, email/support, advertising and future communication providers to operate the service. Those providers may process data according to their own terms and the configuration selected for the service.
5. WhatsApp/SMS integrations
When released, messaging integrations will require school-controlled/provider accounts and appropriate recipient permissions/consents. Provider charges and provider-specific rules apply separately.
6. Security
School Master uses school-scoped data architecture and role/permission controls. No online service can promise absolute security; users should protect passwords and account credentials.
7. Retention, access and deletion
Retention and deletion depend on service needs, school account status, applicable law and technical backup requirements. Schools should contact support for account/data requests that cannot be completed in-product.
8. Children/student data
Student data is expected to be entered by authorized school users for school administration. The public website is not intended for children to directly create school operational accounts.
9. India privacy framework
Where applicable, School Master operations should be handled consistently with applicable Indian data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection framework and rules as they come into force according to their enforcement timeline.
