WhatsApp and SMS integration rules for School Master.
Messaging is an approved roadmap feature and remains Coming Soon until the production integrations are released.
1. School/provider account
The school is expected to obtain and maintain the eligible WhatsApp Business/provider account or business number required by the chosen integration. School Master will link supported provider credentials/configuration when the integration is available; provider purchase/onboarding costs are separate.
2. PRO allowance
After messaging launch, PRO is planned to allow up to 20 WhatsApp messaging actions per active student per month within School Master’s software usage controls. SMS is not included in the PRO messaging allowance.
3. PREMIUM allowance
After messaging launch, PREMIUM is planned to allow up to 40 WhatsApp messaging actions and 10 SMS messaging actions per active student per month within School Master’s software usage controls.
4. Provider charges are separate
School Master subscription prices do not include third-party WhatsApp, SMS, telecom, DLT, template, number, BSP/aggregator or similar usage/provider charges unless an order explicitly states otherwise.
5. Consent and lawful messaging
The school is responsible for ensuring recipients, phone numbers, content, notices and consent/permission satisfy applicable law and provider policies. School Master is not intended for unsolicited bulk spam or prohibited promotional use.
6. Indian SMS requirements
Where Indian telecom rules apply, the school/sender may need applicable Principal Entity registration, registered headers, registered content templates and consent-related setup through the relevant telecom/provider framework before bulk/service/commercial SMS can be delivered.
7. Templates and automation
Supported automation may include fee reminders, receipts, absence alerts, notices, exam/result updates and similar school communications. Provider-approved templates may be required before some messages can be sent.
8. Usage counter and limits
The ERP is planned to show used/remaining monthly software allowance. Messages that fail at a provider or are rejected by provider rules may still be subject to provider billing/rules outside School Master’s control.
